Artefacts Interventions:

The following are the projects I am working on recently. You can start with the advantages and disadvantages, whether the project is implemented well, where do you think you can improve or what you want to add, please feel free to say more.

The video is a game test I conducted. As an art therapy game, its purpose is to stimulate the imagination of Chinese high school students, relieve stress, and express themselves better through art. This simple game can help people who are not good at art can participate without burden. Most of the materials are common and cheap. It takes about 10 minutes to make a very artistic work.

Choosing art therapy as a medium is to express my hope to change the solid thinking of Chinese high school students on dressing and enhance their personal “personality”. Based on previous literature research, I learned that if you want to break the physical appearance, you must break out of the “student” frame given to you by the social school.

Tattoos in China have nothing to do with the image of students, and it has a strong ability to express emotions. The combination of school uniforms and tattoos can give students a great contrast in the “image”. The tattoo I proposed is not a tattoo on the real skin but on the surface of the school uniform. Use thermal transfer and tattoo stickers to transform school uniforms to express their individuality. Students can also participate in the creation of tattoos, design the location of tattoo coverage, and stimulate students’ creativity.

Intervention 1:

High school student: I don’t think there is any problem with the game. There are many kinds of games, so people who don’t have an art foundation can participate in it together, express their understanding of art, and cultivate students’ hands-on ability to better show their ideas. The second one is to put tattoo stickers on school uniforms. I think it is a very good idea. I think we can add one more. Now students prefer to display their own personality for this kind of creativity. You can customize it with your own personality. The method allows students to choose their favorite patterns, animation images, etc., and then use a form similar to digital oil painting to fill in and mark lines to meet different needs

Intervention 2:

A: It’s really good! It’s so easy to implement. What you mean is to allow students to transform their school uniforms in this inexpensive way, right? School unification is a difficult problem, but it can be solved through communication.

Q: What do you think is lacking in this project? Or do you want to add something more?
Mainly I want to say that it is because of the current situation in the Chinese fashion industry, and part of the reason. I feel that it is because the education of the students is not enough, and of course they do not have their own independent aesthetics and personality.

A: Because he will not change the original intention of his school, but just give students a chance to create their own personalities. If only one class time is used, there is no need to waste their study time. When an extra activity relaxes the tight learning pressure, it can also stimulate Creativity

So even if there are many Chinese designers who have made good clothes, but most people don’t know how to appreciate it, you will be judged if you wear clothes with a more design sense on the street.

Intervention 3:

A: You can try, you can let students discover their thinking, and then, um, go boldly to design, to make their own innovations and changes to school uniforms. However, I still don’t agree with the dress code on weekdays. Approval is casual and personalized design. I think if it is alone, it is from one. So everyone is doing a project, a research topic or something, to carry out the kind of um, how can I say, innovation and a design of the school uniform, I think I still agree with that kind.

Q: What do you think is the resistance to the realization of this project?

For example, how about putting this project when students graduate or cooperating with the school to produce some school-related patterns?

A: Yes, it is absolutely possible. All of these things are constantly tried and explored in practice to complete them. If this thing has a good idea, a good design, you can make related changes to the school uniform, but in the end, it will definitely be, that is, to come up with the best plan to teach everyone to dress uniformly. I feel that this is Better.

mind map

At first, I was very resistant to this invention. I felt it was difficult to implement and took a lot of risk. But when I did it, I found that it was actually a very interesting thing, which could generate a lot of sparks.

The high school students come from Qingdao No. 6 Middle School, which is an art college. From the dialogue, he agrees with this realization. His suggestion is to use digital oil painting, a black and white line drawing made with a computer, which can be colored according to the instructions to simulate other masters’ oil paintings. He hopes that there will be more hands-on links. I can realize his point of view, make a heat transfer, and students can freely stick them on their clothes and then paint them.

The authoritative party believes that she does not agree that everyone has a personalized design, and believes that it does not conform to the neat and standardized school uniform management. Then I proposed that the design should be unified by me and the school, and the students were free to paste, but she still maintained an uncertain attitude. I still have to try to contact other schools, but in the current view, it is very difficult for students to reflect each person’s different dress characteristics in the school.

Practitioners in the fashion industry think that this is a good idea. Later, when we were discussing how to implement it better, she proposed to cooperate with the school to take 10 minutes of class. Then I proposed that I could start a social account to post videos of remodeling school uniforms. She very much agreed with this point of view.

Ethnographic research

Q: Are you satisfied with the high school uniforms and what do you think?

A: I think high school uniforms are okay. The main problem with most of the school uniforms is that the quality is not very good, and the other is that they are mass-customized. The version and color matching are somewhat old-fashioned, and they are not too warm in winter.

Q: Have you ever thought about remodeling school uniforms yourself?

A: I have had this idea, but the process may be more complicated, and the school does not support this kind of behavior, so I haven’t practiced it.

Q: Do you think that uniform and standardized school uniforms affect the development of high school students’ creativity, the expression of their individuality, and the consolidation of their thinking?

Are there any changes and creations to school uniforms among your classmates?

A: I think it will be influential. The school’s original intention of using school uniforms is only to conduct standardized management and achieve a uniform effect. Everyone has a love for beauty. Everyone has a different view of beauty. To show the aesthetics, I think it has more influence on personality.

There have been changes to the school uniform, but it is not a major change. For example, using a hook line pen to draw some patterns, patterns, animation images, etc. on the school uniform, it can be regarded as a kind of display of personality.

Q: If you were given the right to design school uniforms, what kind of school uniforms would you design?

A: If I am, I prefer the retro styles, such as trench coats and suits, and have some practicality, similar to this.

Q: What is your usual style of dressing? Do you hope that the school uniforms are in line with your usual dressing style and personality?

I think my own dressing style is more sporty. I don’t want the school uniform to be the same as my usual dressing style. I hope the style is more comfortable.

Q: Do you think school uniforms have an impact on the creativity and personality development of high school students? In the case of wearing the same school uniform, how do you show each person’s different personalities?

A: I think clothing is a way to show yourself to the outside world. If all people have the same clothing, it will have an impact in the long run. In the case of the same school uniform, we will make some small changes to the school uniform, such as drawing Write a question, or change the trousers, make such a small change

Q: Where did you learn your usual fashion dress habits? Does anyone or style influence you?

A: I learned it mainly from the Internet. It is more affected by this, and there is no fixed style. If the clothes are better-looking, they are all acceptable.

Fashion industry: Buyer

Q: Do you have any thoughts on Chinese high school uniforms?

A: Chinese school uniforms maintain the traditional Chinese traditions of simplicity, leisure, sports, and lightness. But I think it’s too conservative. The styles of detention are the same for boys and girls, the same as prison uniforms. Although he can protect the privacy of minors and will not let students focus on dressing up and will only study seriously, but students are at their best age and need some youth that they should have at their age, and their lives are more than that. There are many more to study, and it’s their right to look good! So I personally don’t like the style of Chinese school uniforms. In fact, it can be more beautiful or more formal!

Q: Is there any difference between foreign and domestic high school uniforms?

A: The difference is that foreign school uniforms are different for boys and girls. Girls wear long skirts and boys wear suit trousers. Change to sportswear during physical education class! What kind of clothes to wear on what occasion! No matter what the occasion, China is always a sports style. The clothes of boys and girls are exactly the same. The common point is that they are all very strict and must wear school uniforms to school.

Q: As the owner of a buyer’s store, do you have any views on the Chinese fashion industry? What do you think Chinese fashion lacks?

A: China is too much touted about big logos, especially some big brands don’t have many designs. Putting a big logo can sell well! In addition, China is not sensitive enough to some very design-conscious clothing, and it is still a bit conservative. However, in recent years, more and more young people can accept design styles that have never been before. What is lacking is some channels that can really promote the real fashion and design things to everyone. Now celebrities will only help propagandize for money, and they are not really attentive to the influencer.

Q: Do you think students wearing uniform uniforms in high school will affect and weaken their personality and creativity?

A: Yes. In fact, studying is only a part of student life, as long as it is not a vicious comparison, choosing what clothes to wear will highlight their personality.

Q: How did you wear a uniform when you were in high school to highlight your personality? (Such as changing trousers, etc.

A: It’s suitable for me in foreign countries. I changed my skirt from a long skirt to a mini skirt, and I will buy nice leather shoes to match. I won’t buy shoes at school because I only need black leather shoes.

Q: If you were asked to design or remodel school uniforms, what would you do? Which way to choose?

A: Changed to this, the navel is super short, with high socks, it is with the fashion that the school uniforms that are transformed every year are different, and they are different every year.

School and Education Bureau:

Q: Do you have any thoughts on Chinese high school uniforms?

A: I feel that Chinese school uniforms have the advantage of feeling. They are standardized and uniform. Well, it can reflect that the team wears uniform uniforms in this area. It is very regular, but its disadvantage is that it lacks vitality. The style is more rigid.

Q: From the different perspectives of working in school and being a parent of high school students, do you have different views on school uniforms?

A: High school students are relatively close to their adult age, and now high school students have their own opinions and ideas. I feel that school uniforms, um, for them, high school students can participate in it for three years. Suggestions. You can mention your own ideas or even design. Then we brainstormed, um, I hope high school students can wear uniforms that are more in line with their ideals.

Oh, I know that Qingdao Experimental Senior High School is going to be in the near future. Their school uniforms are just for brainstorming. Then the school may launch several um, different styles of school uniforms, and then let the students participate and choose the clothes they like.

Q: Do you think there are any difficulties and obstacles in the process of students participating in the design of school uniforms?

A: As far as I know, the school has not fully allowed students to participate in the design of school uniforms. This is a matter, but some schools may pay more attention to it. For the school uniform itself, his own design, planning this It pays more attention to it. The plan introduced by the school is more optimized, and then the students are taught. Relatively speaking, I have not heard of the plan to fully involve the students.

Most schools still use the styles of school uniforms for primary and secondary schools that were relatively regular. Some schools have introduced some. For example, I know that it is an experimental elementary school or an experimental high school. It has introduced some styles that are more novel than western clothes. Students feel more energetic and energetic when worn.

Q: Regarding the school you mentioned that the school uniforms are worn on weekdays, but some students will make private changes, such as changing the trousers, etc. Do you agree? What are your views on this?

A: I don’t support school uniforms to be changed privately, because the uniforms are uniformly dressed by the students, and if some students want to change their trousers and the waist, they lack it in this way. Standardize the original intention of everyone to dress uniformly. In addition, as school uniforms are worn by classmates on weekdays, he also needs to attend physical education classes. These are convenient for entering activities. Considering the convenience of activities, it is not recommended for students to change their trouser legs or something.

If the trouser legs are changed very narrow or something, on the one hand, it is physical education or something, which is definitely not because it is convenient for students to move around. On the other hand, if it’s um, change this classmate a little bit, and that classmate change a little bit here, then it feels like it looks more irregular. I think since it’s a school uniform, everyone should dress uniformly and all should be done. What changes?

The address provided by the stakeholder to purchase school uniforms

Reflection of week success and failure

The success and failure of this week, I just tried to do a thermal transfer, but due to technical reasons, the ink of the printer was not suitable for the transfer paper, so it was not successful. The production of the finished product was delayed. Realizing that there should be a more detailed and clear schedule. After today, I decided to upload the schedule every week to better supervise my work.

The solution is to use PS to simulate the final product and contact professional manufacturers to make heat transfer stickers and tattoo stickers on the Internet. In the immediate intervention and investigation, I am more worried about whether the Education Bureau recognizes this product. I am wondering whether I can give more product design to schools and students to complete this work in a positive and sunny way. , I’m trying to find out if there is a school willing to work together on this project.

The most successful one this week is the completion of the research, especially the research on art therapy and psychology, which gave me a lot of inspiration and breakthroughs, and made my originally uncertain research direction more intuitive and accurate. guide. In particular, I am quite satisfied with this plan on the character of life, and I hope to get more suggestions from the stakeholders to see if it needs to be adjusted.

Chinese traditional games

Chinese Checkers

Chinese checkers is characterized by its hexagram-shaped board, which can accommodate up to 6 players. The main goal of Chinese checkers is to move all your marbles from your end to the opposite point of the star. Players can move their marbles by “hopping” over a single adjacent marble – one’s own or the opponent’s – and can continue to hop until there’s no more adjacent marble.

Tangram

The tangram is a dissection puzzle consisting of seven flat polygons which are put together to form shapes. The objective is to replicate a pattern (given only an outline) generally found in a puzzle book using all seven pieces without overlap. It is reputed to have been invented in China sometime around the late 18th century CE and then carried over to America and Europe by trading ships shortly after.

Cat’s Cradle

A string figure is a design formed by manipulating string on, around, and using one’s fingers or sometimes between the fingers of multiple people. String figures may also involve the use of the mouth, wrist, and feet. The game ends when one of the two players cannot think of any next solution to the current figure or when one player fails to hold the figure with hands.

Marble

A marble is a small spherical object often made from glass. These balls vary in size. Marbles can be used for a variety of games called marbles. They are often collected, both for nostalgia and for their aesthetic colors. Players often use their fingers to “shoot” one marble to hit the opponent’s marble and can acquire it if it was hit.

Hide-and-seek

Hide-and-seek is a popular children’s game in which at least two players conceal themselves in a set environment, to be found by one or more seekers.

Shuttlecock

The shuttlecock is made out of rubber or a plastic disk and attached with many feathers. The player’s goal is to keep the shuttlecock in the air while kicking it only using the feet repeatedly.

Hopscotch

Hopscotch is a popular playground game in which players toss a small object into numbered triangles or a pattern of rectangles outlined on the ground and then hop or jump through the spaces and retrieve the object.

Bamboo dragonfly

Bamboo dragonfly has a helicopter top axis with a cord wound around it, with a horizontal blade sticking out from the axis. A player would pull the cord and release hands; the bamboo dragonfly will take off vertically in the air like a helicopter.

Soul clothing: Tattoos

By Britain’s First Tattoo Artist Sutherland Macdonald

Tattoos reach the inside of existence through the depiction on the outside of the body. It seems that “knocking on the door of the skin” makes people listen to the sound from the inside.

Mental map:

The reason why I chose graffiti as a medium is to express the central idea I want to bring to Chinese high school students, “personality.” According to previous research, I learned that if you want to break the image of your body, you must break out of the “student” frame given to you by the social school. Tattoo is a word that has nothing to do with students, even with a little derogatory meaning, but it gives a great contrast to the identity of the students. They are two words that cannot be connected at all. And the tattoo itself has a strong power to express emotions, which is very suitable for my topic selection.

The tattoo I proposed is not a tattoo on the real skin, but on the surface of the school uniform. In the next step, I want to try to use thermal transfer or tattoo stickers to express my ideas. In addition, my target students can also create their own tattoos, and the location of the tattoos, to stimulate their creativity

Game and art therapy test: paper-cutting training called bomb disposal experts

*

Mental map

Today I conducted a game test, as an art therapy game, the purpose is to stimulate imagination and relieve stress.

This game originally came from an early education game that allows children to cut the color bars in the correct order from the outside to the inside. Children can practice using scissors in the game, but also learn to solve problems and recognize colors. Observe which piece of paper is the top one, then cut it off, and then cut another piece of paper.

In my opinion, this simple game can train people who are not good at art and art, and it is easy to participate in it. Use several different colored paper strips to build a three-dimensional 3D space. And the materials are easier to find and cheaper. I am very satisfied with the effect of this game. It takes about 10 minutes to make a very artistic work.

But I’m thinking about how to put these art games into daily life and school uniforms more conveniently and integrate them into daily life. I currently have an idea about graffiti. The hand-drawn graffiti of the students and some graffiti I designed are made into a transfer image, which is pasted on the body like a tattoo sticker. The tattoo also represents the expression of one’s own personality, which violates the students’ Should have been control.

squiggle game

“Game promotes growth and is good for health; game is conducive to the formation of group relationships; game is a form of communication in mental therapy” (1980: 48).

In the introduction part of the book (Therapeutic consulutations in child psychiatry), Winnicott (1971: 10) explored the use of “game graffiti”, he wrote: dogmatic interpretation will only leave children with two choices: or accept My words should be treated as authoritative speech; either refuse to accept my explanation, refuse me, and refuse the entire treatment plan. I think and hope that the children undergoing treatment can feel that they have the right not to accept what I say or the way I act.

Games and art therapy:

Winnicott believes that the ability to play plays a key role in the treatment process because:

An individual, whether it is a child or an adult, can be creative and able to use his complete personality through games and only through playing games, and only when the individual gains this creativity can he discover himself (Winnicott, 1980: 63) )

In art therapy, patients often express or evoke certain emotions or feelings through metaphorical paintings. For example, a lonely tree may indicate a feeling of loneliness and despair, and an erupting volcano may indicate a kind of anger.

*

Reflective statement:

This book introduces art therapy. Art therapy is defined as “applying image drawing to treatment”. Its value lies in that the brain is completely immersed in art (and fingers are also busy in it). Art patients often release repressed creations in their hearts. “Strength”, the views in the book affirm my thesis on creativity and self, and help my project better achieve the case that I want to help Chinese high school students establish a distinctive personal image, and liberate them from the busy and single student life. And it provides me with good ways, such as playing games and graffiti. “An individual, whether a child or an adult, can be creative and able to use his complete personality through games and only through games. The phrase “the individual can only discover the self when he gains this kind of creativity” is of great significance to me.

At the same time, the book also proposes some attitudes towards participants. The other party can definitely deny or have the right not to accept what I say or my way of doing things. This is a key clue for this activity to develop students’ creativity. In the next step, I will use some of the theories in the book as the evidence of my intervention.

Mental map

Through the feedback of this class, I changed my question to a more detailed and more detailed question, narrowing my group to high school students. At the same time, tutor’s Uniforms and ‘collectivism’ point of view, as an extension of this point of view, I continue to investigate how to make the individual stand out from the collective.

Regarding the answer to the question “the change you want to see”, I want to transform/reconstruct school uniforms to see that Chinese high school students can express themselves in better clothes, stimulate their creativity, and form a more healthy personality.

How are you going to approach this, the first idea is to design a new school uniform, increase the fun and sense of participation of students, and stimulate students’ creativity. The second idea is to organize events, fashion therapy, through graffiti and painting. The third idea is to design school uniform accessories for easy wearing.
